Steel Coil Export Shipping (Shanghai → Dubai) — FCL Process Overview

Our company specializes in steel coil container shipping from Shanghai to Dubai, using the Full Container Load (FCL) shipping mode. We follow a standardized process throughout the entire operation, including reinforcement, packing, customs declaration, sea freight, customs clearance, and delivery, as detailed below:

1. Order Acceptance & Booking Confirmation

  • Based on the weight, dimensions, and quantity of the steel coils, we select the appropriate 20GP standard container (20ft containers are preferred for heavy coils).
  • Space is booked with the shipping line, and the shipping schedule, container type, pickup time, and departure port in Shanghai are confirmed.
  • Ocean bill of lading information is provided simultaneously to ensure clients have complete documentation.

2. Factory Packing & Professional Reinforcement

  • Container trucks are arranged to collect goods from the customer’s designated location.
  • Due to the heavy and roll-prone nature of steel coils, professional packing is carried out:
    • Anti-slip wooden blocks are placed at the bottom.
    • Steel straps are used for securing.
    • Grid reinforcement is applied, and sides are restrained to prevent shifting or collision during transport.
  • After packing, photos are taken, and the container is sealed for secure transport.

3. Container Return to Terminal & Customs Declaration

  • The loaded container is returned to the Shanghai port terminal for port declaration.
  • Export documents (contract, invoice, packing list, and declaration forms) are submitted for customs review and inspection (if selected).
  • Once cleared by customs, the container awaits loading onto the vessel.

4. Shanghai Port Loading & Sea Transport

  • Containers are loaded onto the international liner as scheduled and depart Shanghai Port, en route to Dubai Port (Jebel Ali, UAE).
  • Full-process vessel tracking and bill of lading confirmation are provided, allowing clients to monitor their cargo in real time.

5. Destination Port Customs Clearance & Cargo Collection

  • Upon arrival at Dubai Port, our overseas agent assists with import customs clearance, tax payment, and customs inspection procedures.
  • After clearance, arrangements are made for container pickup from the terminal.

6. Dubai Local Delivery & Receipt

  • Containers are delivered to the client’s designated address in Dubai according to requirements.
  • Unloading and receipt are completed, providing door-to-door or port-to-door delivery throughout the process.
  • This ensures safe and timely delivery of steel coils to the client.
